From time to time I will reflect on different aspects that enrich my soul and hopefully will enrich yours as well. A little history... I am a 62-year-old quadriplegic who has been injured 27 years. This journey in my new life has surly had it's ups and downs. But, strength and belief in God through faith & sacrifice has made me more at peace and able to bear the cross I carry. We all carry crosses in one way or another and to void that as punishment or blame on oneself or others is missing the connection of purification that brings us closer to the cross that Christ Himself endured.
Then Jesus told his disciples, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?
